Abstract Styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer (SBS) composites dispersed with organoclay (stearyl ammonium-modified montmollironite, C18-Mt) were prepared by the melt-mixing method, and the solution-mixing (as-cast and melt-press) methods. The structures of the composites were evaluated using X-ray diffractmeter (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), and tensile properties of the composites were examined. The composites by the melt-mixing method have partially intercalated structure. In the composites, large agglomerates (about ![]() ![]() ![]() Keywords: Styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer, Organoclay, SBS composites, Mixing method, Tensile property, X-ray diffractmeter, Scanning electron microscopy, Dynamic mechanical analysis. |
